We caught up with some Falcons players Wednesday to find out what are their most essential items to bring to training camp. Training camp starts July 28 with practice beginning at 10 a.m.
Here is a list of items some players brought with them to camp.
1. Falcons rookie linebacker Deion Jones: Hasbro Gummy Bears
“I need gummy bears to get through camp,” Jones said. “I have a good bit of those in my bag as they are Hasbro gummy bears. They are the best part.”
2. Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon: headphones
“The one thing I have to pack is my headphones,” Weatherspoon said. “Just in the morning, you like to start your day off with some good music to kind of set the tone. That is one of the main packages that I had to make sure that I had.”
3. Falcons offensive tackle Ryan Schraeder: Memory-foam mattress
“This year, I brought a padded memory-foam mattress,” Schraeder said.
4. Falcons cornerback Desmond Trufant: Pull-up bar
“I brought a pull-up bar as I got to keep my back right when I take on those running backs on the sweeps,” Trufant said. “Other than that, I got my laptop and music. The basics.”
5. Falcons rookie safety Keanu Neal: Starburst Gummies candy
“I got some starburst gummies,” Neal said. “They are new, but really good. I got like three packs of those.”
