"I felt like we started out fairly effectively, running the ball efficiently early in the ball game. In the second half, we did not. I don't think we got a first down in the third quarter of the ball game. Three three-and-outs and a turnover, I believe. We did not move the football in the second half of the game." — Falcons coach Mike Smith on the poor offensive showing.
"I felt like in the first 30 minutes of the ball game, we played well enough to win and in the second 30 minutes, we played poor football. We didn't play well enough to get the job done." — Smith on the second-half collapse.
"The defense created some turnovers for us and we capitalized on them. But we weren't able to get it done offensively in the second half. We had chances. We moved the ball in a couple of different situations, but stalled out when we get into scoring situations. We have to be better than that. In order to win football games in this league, you have to be better than that." — Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan on the offense's failures.
"It's one of those things where had I felt it or seen it, I would have done something different. I'll have to see the film. I was just going through my reads from the right side of the field and scanning back to the left. It was just one of those things, a bang-bang play." — Ryan on a sack, strip and fumble recovery that led to a turnover and Green Bay taking the lead.
"We did a nice job early getting everybody involved with some short passes, getting everybody into the game and at the same time creating some explosives, too. Drew Davis on the backside of a route creating a touchdown for us was big. We took shots down the field. We took one early on the first drive. We didn't capitalize on any of those today and sometimes when you're nickel and diming them for a long time, when you take those chances, you have to hit one or two. We just didn't get it done." — Ryan on the passing attack.
"It was good to compete. I felt like I showed up to play today. The weather really didn't affect us until we tried to kick the field goal. We had our opportunities. We couldn't find a way to put a drive together in the second half. We needed to find a way to do that. I felt that we went out there and played hard, but we just came up short. — Falcons wide receiver Roddy White on the loss.
"It was cold and the ball isn't going to go as far, but you just have to go out there and do your best. I think it was worth taking a shot at. Another nine times, I think I make it. It was just that one time that I didn't. I hit it good, but I guess I didn't hit it quite good enough." — Falcons kicker Matt Bryant on his missed 52-yard field goal attempt in the fourth quarter.
"I think we played well in the second half. It's tough. Everybody was playing good. We would have liked to have a few chances here or there." — Falcons safety Zeke Motta on the defense's play.
"I got a lot of good action. A lot of good experience, made some rookie mistakes, did some good things. I was a little inconsistent. I just have to get better and learn from my mistakes and not let anything happen again, not make the same mistakes." — Falcons tackle Ryan Schraeder on his increased playing time.
