He took the NFL by storm earlier in the season before fizzling out. The team returned to him after Nick Foles, who signed a four-year $88.1 million deal, played poorly over three games. In a funny skit on ESPN, Minshew was compared to Uncle Rico from the movie Napoleon Dynamite.
