FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons cornerback Robert Alford, who's missed one game with a groin injury, returned to practice on Wednesday.

Alford, who was limited, starts outside at right cornerback in the base defense and moves inside to cover slot receivers in the nickel package.

Alford, who won the Washington game with a 59-yard interception return for a touchdown in overtime, leads the Falcons with seven pass breakups.

Defensive tackle Paul Soliai (concussion) practiced.

In addition to Alford, linebacker Justin Durant (calf), wide receiver Leonard Hankerson (hamstring), defensive tackle Tyson Jackson (ribs), defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (elbow) and safety William Moore (groin) were also limited at practice.

Safety Robenson Therezie (hamstring) was the only player who did not practice.
