Johnny Football is Johnny Smart.
Scores of the intelligence metric -- the Wonderlic -- were leaked Friday and they suggest former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel's score of 32 was among the best of any quarterback prospect this year.
The Wonderlic is an intelligence test developed in the 1930s and is given to prospective players by the NFL to judge their aptitude for adapting to certain situations. NFL Draft prospects have 12 minutes to take the 50-question test during the Combine in Indianapolis.
Scores for three other quarterback prospects surfaced: Central Florida's Blake Bortles, 28; Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater, 20; and Cornell's Jeff Matthews, 40. Matthew's score is believed to be the highest of any player.
The average Wonderlic score for an NFL quarerback is 29. The NFL Draft is from May 8-10.
Some former quarterbacks' reported Wonderlic scores include: Tom Brady, 33; Aaron Rodgers, 35; Eli Manning, 39; Colin Kaepernick, 38; Matthew Stafford, 38; Peyton Manning, 28; and Dan Marino, 15. Former Falcons quarterback Michael Vick's Wonderlic score was a 20. Former Florida quarterback Chris Leak has to lowest score on record (8) for a quarterback.
Only one prospect, Harvard kicker Pat McInally, has scored a perfect 50 on the test -- in 1975.
