Reggie Ragland diagnosed with enlarged aorta

April 28, 2016

FLOWERY BRANCH — Alabama linebacker Reggie Ragland, one of the few players on the Falcons' radar at the 17th spot in the draft Thursday night, has been flagged by some teams because of a medical issue, according to NFL Media.

Ragland reportedly has an enlarged aorta.

The condition requires monitoring and could lead to aneurysms. Surgery could be required.

Some teams have pushed Ragland down their draft board, and seven teams don’t believe the condition will impact his football career, according to the report.

The Falcons were unavailable for comment.
