Falcons coach Dan Quinn is looking for help from the notoriously late arriving Atlanta Falcons fans.

Quinn came from Seattle and saw first-hand how the fans became the 12th man and made things rough for visiting teams.

The Falcons’ fans don’t have that reputation for being on-time for kickoff or for being rambunctious.

Also, the Falcons were found guilty of pumping in fake crowd noise into the Georgia Dome during the 2013-14 seasons by the NFL

The league fined the Falcons$350,000 and the franchise forfeited their fifth-round selection in the 2016 NFL draft. President Rich McKay was suspended and later re-instated to the league’s powerful competition committee.

Quinn is hopeful the fans arrive early from the tailgate parties and get loud organically.

“I hope that together, as we go together in creating an environment, even at our home stadium that brings our fans and teams together like no other place,” Quinn said to USA Today. “So loud that when opposing teams have to come there, that false starts are a factor and we’re getting in the quarterback’s head. Together, that’s what we are aiming for.”

The Falcons went 8-8 in Quinn’s first season with the team. They were 4-4 at the Georgia Dome.

This is scheduled to be the Falcons last season in the Georgia Dome. The new $1.5 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium is scheduled to open in 2017.
