Falcons rookie Kaleb McGary spoke to the media after practice Saturday.

Here’s what McGary, who was drafted in the first round (31st overall) had to say:

1. On his biggest challenge so far: "The biggest challenge has been still being one of the new guys and doing everything that you can to come together with the old guys and learn without being a pest. The rookies, we are starting to figure things out, but we are nowhere near the vets, and we are trying to catch up. We bother them all the time, and they are really cool (with) helping, but you don't want to be that annoying new guy. But the vets have been awesome. They've done a really good job of helping the young guys. The group is coming together. It's been great."

2. On his transition from college to pro: "Every technique is something that can be varied between every team. Technique here is certainly different from what it was in college. It can't matter. You just have to learn and do the best that you can and figure it out."

3. On the speed of the pro game: "It's slowed up a little bit. It's still obviously very fast; very, very fast. It's starting to slow down a little, thankfully."

4. On questions for the vets: "Any tips that they have scheme-wise. Technique-wise. Really any insight. They are awesome. They do a phenomenal job helping to coach us and teach us. Any question we ask, they answer. It's been really awesome. There is a big feeling of togetherness. They've been awesome about helping."

5. On pushing Ty Sambrailo over the first four-day block: "I feel like I did all right. Ty Sambrailo is a great tackle. I'm trying to catch up. Learn what I can. I've got a long ways to go."
