Eagles or Patriots?

Who you got?

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution asked several local athletes and personalities for their predictions on Super Bowl LII.

Here’s what they thought and why:

> Dale Murphy, Braves great

Patriots, 27-17

"Because of Tom Brady."
> Tyler Cavanaugh, Hawks forward

Eagles, 24-17

“The Patriots’ time is up. It’s our turn now.”

> John Collins, Hawks center

Patriots, 28- 9

“I don’t want to say it but, I have to go with Brady. He’s going to add to his legacy. You get Brady to a Super Bowl, it’s hard to pick against him.”

> Dewayne Dedmon, Hawks center

Eagles

“The Eagles are going to take it all. They have one of the best defenses in the league. It’s time for Tom Brady to sit down.”

> Julian Gressel, Atlanta United midfielder

Patriots

“I think the Pats are going to win because they’ve been around the block, they’ve been there so many times. TB12, you know?”

> Miles Robinson, Atlanta United defender from Massachusetts

Patriots

“The Patriots by a million. I’m from Boston. You’ve got to be true to your roots.”

> Jeff Larentowicz, Atlanta United midfielder who grew up in Philadelphia

Eagles, 50-3

“Nick Foles has God on his side.”

> Darren Eagles, Atlanta United president

Eagles, 35-31

“Philly to upset the odds and win.”

> Ryan Cameron, morning host at V-103

Patriots, 35-17

“It’s a waste of time rooting against the Patriots.”

> Rashan Ali, host of TV One and Sister Circle talk show

Eagles, 27-24

“Well as we know, all dynasties crumble and hopefully this year the Patriots will be the victim. Signed, ‘I’m still made about last year’s Falcons’ loss.’”

- David O’Brien, Doug Roberson and Rodney Ho contributed to this report.
