Georgia will be well-represented when players arrive for the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., on Monday.
All 32 NFL teams will be on hand for the practices that start on Tuesday. The all-star exhibition college football game, which has some of the top draft prospects, will be played at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
“Our focus right now is our ... end of season evaluations,” Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said. “That’s a big thing for this organization.
“We are a big believer in making sure that we think out every position on the roster, as well as every player on the roster at all levels. The coaching assessments, the scouting evaluations to the athletic performance side of things, as well as where we are from a player engagement standpoint.”
Executives for the game are expecting more than 1,000 NFL personnel and scouts to watch practices and interview players.
“Everything matters, but the one-on-one (drills are very important),” Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage said. “These are the tapes and reps that will travel with these players for the rest of their journey to the draft.”
The University of Georgia could have three players participating .
West Georgia ofensive tackle Desmond Harrison, who transferred from Texas, is considered one of the small-school players to watch.
“I’ve had scouts call and tell me all season that he has the best feet in the entire NFL draft class,” Savage said.
The game will be coached by the staffs from the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos.
