FLOWERY BRANCH — Former Houston linebacker Elandon Roberts, the defensive star of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, is creating a draft buzz leading to the NFL draft, which is set for April 28-30 in Chicago.

In the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Roberts helped Houston limit Florida State running back Dalvin Cook to 33 yards on 18 carries, his lowest total in 19 games. Roberts, 5-11, 234 pounds, finished with eight tackles as the Cougars upset the Seminoles 38-24.

Roberts was timed in 4.51 and 4.49 at his Pro Day. He bench-pressed 225 pounds 25 times, had a vertical jump of 36.5 inches and broad jump of 9 feet, 9 inches and had a three-cone time of between 6.8 and 7.20. Click here to see Roberts' highlight reel.

“It should be noted that Roberts’ measurables are among the best of any linebacker in this draft across the board,” said Rick Serritella of NFL Draft Bible.

Texans linebacker coach Mike Vrabel conducted Roberts’ position drills. The Bills, Cardinals, Chargers, Jets, Packers, Rams, Raiders and Ravens have shown interest.
