FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons tight end Tony Moeaki, who was re-signed on Oct. 6, caught an 11-yard pass against Tennessee.
“We had a little three-tight end package on last week,” Moeaki said. “The tight end group is just trying to be there when our number is called. Do your job blocking for (Devonta Freeman) and blocking for Matt (Ryan). We are just doing our job.”
Moeaki was with the Falcons during most of training camp, but was released on Sept. 5.
If Moeaki is able to continue improving the Falcons can pair him with Jacob Tamme and Levine Toilolo more in their three-tight end package.
“I’m just trying to help the offense in any way that I can,” Moeaki said. “On special teams, I’m just trying to do my job out there and help this team win.”
