After another 7-9 season, the Falcons’ offseason is under way.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank announced before the season finale that coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff would return in 2020. After a second-place finish in the NFC South, the team owns the No. 16 pick in the NFL Draft.

Here’s a look at some of the key dates and events to know:

Jan. 25 — Senior Bowl (2:30 p.m., NFL), Ladd-Peebles Stadium, Mobile, Ala.: 'Some position of strengths thin this year'

Jan. 26 — Pro Bowl (3 p.m., ESPN), Camping World Stadium, Orlando, Fla.: Deion Jones, Hooper among alternates

Feb. 24-March 2 — NFL scouting combine, Indianapolis

Feb. 25 — First day for clubs to designate franchise or transition players

March 10 — 4 p.m. deadline for clubs to designate franchise or transition players

March 18 — Free agency, trading periods begin at 4 p.m. EDT: Unrestricted free agents include tight end Austin Hooperlinebacker De'Vondre Campbelldefensive end/linebacker Vic Beasley and kicker Younghoe Koo.

March 29-April 1 — Annual league meeting, Palm Beach, Fla.

April 17 — Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets

April 23-25 — NFL draft, Las Vegas: Falcons hold the 16th pick

The 2020 regular season kicks off Thursday, Sept. 10. The Falcons' 2020 list of opponents includes teams from the NFC North, along with the Cowboys and Seattle.
