Sept 7, 2016In Wednesday’s practice, the Falcons started their preparation for Sunday’s season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but wide receiver Julio Jones was still a limited participant.
Coach Dan Quinn expected Jones to be a full participant on Thursday ahead of Sunday’s divisional matchup.
Also limited on Monday, Jones is still recovering from an ankle injury sustained during preseason.
For Wednesday’s practice, coaching staff began specific preparation for the Buccaneers who beat the Falcons twice last season.
“We really just start on the process (of regular season) this week,” Quinn said. “For us to have a division game right of the bat, we’re thrilled with that. And for us to have the game here with our group and our crowd, it makes it extra special to have that.”
Quinn said the Falcons’ docket for Wednesday consisted of first and second-down practice and well as two-minute drills.
