Wide receiver Julio Jones was expected to be a full participant in practice Thursday by coach Dan Quinn.

Jones has been limited to different degrees in practice since injuring his ankle against the Miami Dolphins in the Falcons’ third exhibition game.

Jones said Thursday that he feels physically ready to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

On Wednesday, Jones practiced with his team, but was still limited.

“He looked terrific (on Wednesday), battling and making a good number of catches,” Quinn said. “He looked like Julio, which is a good thing for the Falcons.”

In the preseason, Jones played in two games totaling two receptions for 37 yards.

After sitting out the Falcons’ fourth exhibition game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jones is ready to show what he can do in regular season.
