Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, who saw his first action since breaking his right foot last October, played 16 snaps in an exhibition game against the Houston Texans on Saturday night at NRG Stadium.

Jones finished with two catches for 20 yards. He flashed his trademark speed up the sideline during the Falcons’ first possession as he got behind Houston cornerback A.J. Bouye. He caught the pass, but was ruled out of bounds.

On his first play, Jones blocked for running back Jacquizz Rodgers, who picked up two yards.

On the second play, Jones ran a deep route, but quarterback Matt Ryan completed a pass to fullback Patrick DiMarco. But the Falcons lined up illegally.

On the next play, Jones caught a crossing route for a 6-yard gain.

Jones, who did not play in the exhibition opener last week against Miami, played into the second quarter.

He made a 14-yard catch later in the second-quarter.

The first-team offense played four series and were forced to punt each time.
