The last true blowout game in the Super Bowl was won 43-8 by the Seattle Seahawks in 2014. There have been plenty before and since that have gone down to the wire.

Here are 10 of the must crushing Super Bowl defeats as time runs out:

2013 Super Bowl - Ravens-49ers

With the Ravens leading late in the game, 34–29, the 49ers advanced to the Baltimore 7-yard line just before the two-minute warning. In four attempts, the Ravens could not reach the end zone, turning the ball over on downs. Baltimore took a safety to preserver the win, 34-31.

2002 Super Bowl - Patriots-Rams

The Rams, behind quarterback Kurt Warner, rallied with two fourth quarter touchdowns to tie the Patriots with 90 seconds left. With no timeouts, Tom Brady led the Patriots down the field, setting up a game-winning 48-yard field goal by Adam Vinatieri with 7 seconds on the clock. It was Brady's first Super Bowl win and MVP trophy.

2004 Super Bowl - Patriots-Panthers

The Panthers made their first Super bowl appearance. The Patriots were chasing their second title in three years. The teams scored a record 37 points in the fourth quarter, which was capped with a 41-yard Adam Vinatieri field goal with 9 seconds left for the win.

2008 Super Bowl - Giants-Patriots

Down 14–10 to New England, New York got the ball on their own 17-yard line with 2:39 left and marched 83 yards down the field. In that drive, Giants' David Tyree made a leaping one-handed catch pinning the football with his right hand to the crown of his helmet for a 32-yard gain. Wide receiver Plaxico Burress then scored the winning touchdown on a 13-yard reception with 35 seconds remaining. The Giants ruined the Patriots' perfect season with the 17-14 win.

Norwood’s kick sailed wide right. It was the Bills' first of four-straight losing Super Bowl appearances. It remains the only potential Super Bowl winning field goal attempt to fail.

2017 Super Bowl - Patriots-Falcons

Atlanta piled up what appeared to be an insurmountable lead, 28-3, over New England midway through the third quarter.
