Georgia’s Stanley among Falcons’ undrafted free agent class

The Falcons signed four linebackers, a position that they didn’t take in the recently completed NFL draft, and Georgia cornerback Jayson Stanley, as undrafted rookie free agents on Monday.

In all, the team signed 16 undrafted players, who will be on hand for the rookie minicamp, which is set for May 10 and 11.

Stanley, who played at Creekside High, was a member of The Atlanta-Journal Constitution 2014 Super 11.

Stanley had an impressive Pro Day workout, running the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds with the Falcons in attendance.

Here are the players signed:

Parker Baldwin, FS, San Diego State: He's 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds. He's a two-time honorable mention All-Mountain West selection. A hard-hitting safety from the same school that produced Falcons cornerback/safety Damontae Kazee. Started 32 of the final 34 games at the signature Aztec spot in SDSU's 3-3-5 defense (same position Brian Urlacher played under coach Rocky Long at New Mexico). ... Played in all 54 games since he arrived at SDSU in 2015.

Shawn Bane, WR, Northwest Missouri: He's 5-11, 170. He averaged 11.9 yards on punt returns (third all-time in school history), 3,363 yards receiving (fourth all-time), 31 touchdowns (fifth) and 212 receptions (sixth). He was only the third Bearcat to ever lead the team in receiving yards in four straight seasons.

Yurik Bethune, LB, Alabama A&M: He's 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds. He was a first-team All-SWAC defensive end selection. Bethune, who's from Mobile, Ala., was second in the SWAC with 9.5 sacks, and he led the conference with 11.5 tackles for loss. Bethune, who was picked as the SWAC defensive player of the week twice, finished the season with 50 tackles.

Rashard Causey, CB, Central Florida: He's 5-foot-11 and 188 pounds. Causey played in all 13 games, including five starts at nickel back last season. He made 48 tackles, four tackles-for-loss and two sacks as a senior. Causey was tied for the team lead with three forced fumbles, recovered one and broke up six passes.

Lanard Bonner, OT, Arkansas State: He's 6-fot-5 and 315 pounds. The Birmingham native started his career at Highland (Kan.) Community College. He was a first-team All-Sun Conference pick. He was the two-time winner of the Gary Withrow Award, which is given annually to the A-State football team's outstanding offensive lineman of the year. He started every game of his two-year career at A-State, including the 2017 Camellia Bowl and 2018 Arizona Bowl.

Tre' Crawford, LB, Alabama-Birmingham: He's 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds. Started his career at Tyler (Texas) Junior College. He had a top 30 visit to the Cardinals. He made 42 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, and two fumble recoveries last season. At his pro day, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.61 seconds, but he had an outstanding 42-inch vertical leap.

Devon Johnson, OT, Ferris State: He's 6-foot-7 and 315 pounds. He was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's offensive lineman of the year, and was a three-time All-GLIAC honoree. He was named an All-American this year from The Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association, D2Football and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association. He was invited to the NFL scouting combine. He had 26 reps in the 225-pound bench press, which ranked 18th among the 47 offensive linemen who participated.

Kahlil Lewis, WR, Cincinnati: He's 6-foot and 190 pounds. The Miami native led the Bearcats in receiving for three-straight years from 2016-18. He had 48 or more receptions in each of his final three seasons with 48 in 2016, 61 in 2017 and 56 in 2018. He became the 11th receiver in UC history to cross the 2,000-yard receiving plateau and sixth with 150 or more receptions.

Durrant Miles, LB, Boise State: He's a 6-foot-5 and 261 pounds. He was named All-Mountain West honrorable mention and was on the preseason Ted Hendricks Award watch list. He played in all all 13 games and made eight starts. He finished third on the team with 4.5 sacks and fourth with 6.5 tackles-for-loss among his 24 tackles (12 solo). He served a two-year church mission after signing with the Broncos in 2013.

Chandler Miller, C, Tulsa: He's 6-foot-3 and 297 pounds. He was a three-year letter winner and starter. He played and started all 38 career games. He was a two-time American Athletic Conference selection. Was named to the 2018 Rimington Trophy Watch List.

Del'Shawn Phillips, LB , Illinois: He's 6-foor-2 and 230 pounds. He originally committed to Western Michigan out of Detriot's Cass Tech High, but did not academically qualify. Went to Kansas Jayhawk Community College before landing at Illinois in the Big Ten. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.59 seconds at his Pro Day. His time would've ranked 11th among linebackers at the combine. Phillips had a 37-inch vertical jump and 10 feet, 1 inch broad jump.

Jaelin Robinson, OT, Temple: He's 6-foot-6 and 325 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash in 5.34 seconds. He has potential as a right tackle. He played for Georgia Tech coach Geoff Collins.

Jayson Stanley, CB, Georgia: He's 6-foot-2 and 207 pounds. The Falcons will try to convert him into a cornerback after he played wide receiver at Georgia. He played in each of the last 13 games and started against Kentucky and Georgia Tech. In 2017, he shared the special teams most improved player award with two others.

Kyle Vasey, LS, Penn State: He's 6-foot-2 and 231 pounds. Vasey won the John Bruno Memorial Award, as an outstanding member of the special teams. He played in 13 games and was one of 22 players to have earned their degree entering the 2019 Citrus Bowl. Graduated with a degree in rehabilitation & human services.

CJ Worton, WR, Florida International: He's 6-foot and 183 pounds. He started his career at Florida. He caught 37 passes for 627 yards and six touchdowns last season.

Olamide Zaccheaus, WR, Virginia:  He's 5-foot-8 and 190 pounds. Left UVA as the No. 1 all-time in Virginia history and No. 6 all-time in ACC history with 250 career receptions. Finished career No. 2 all-time at UVA with 2,753 receiving yards.
