Falcons running back Tevin Coleman, defensive end Dwight Freeney, tight end Jacob Tamme and cornerback Desmond Trufant were held out of Wednesday’s practice, according to coach Dan Quinn.
Although the four Falcons are injured, Quinn said they all would be at Wednesday’s practice doing some form of rehab.
Coleman missed the Falcons’ past two games with a hamstring injury while Trufant and Tamme suffered shoulder injuries against the Buccaneers in their Thursday night matchup last week. Neither Trufant or Tamme returned to the game after respective injuries. Freeney, a 15-year veteran of the NFL, missed Thursday’s game a quadriceps injury.
Quinn provided an update on a second opinion Trufant received about his shoulder this week.
“For us from a second opinion, everything went well,” Quinn said. “We’re going to list him as day-to-day now and then as we get closer to the end of the week, Thursday or Friday really, if he can participate some there. We hope he’ll be back sooner rather than later.”
