Here are five things to know before today’s Falcons (3-3) at Jets (3-4) kickoff at 1 p.m. at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.:
1. Riley and Tripp are out. Falcons coach Dan Quinn declared linebackers Duke Riley (knee) and Jordan Tripp (concussion) out of the game. Kemal Ishmael, who's been converted from strong safety, will get most of Riley's snaps at weakside linebacker.
2. Beasley fully recovered. Defensive end/ linebacker Vic Beasley has fully recovered from his hamstring injury. He was limited in his first game back against Miami and played a little more against New England. He's been progressing in practice. "I can sense the speed, the quickness and all of the movement…he just doesn't feel like he has to think about it anymore, which is a good thing," Falcons coach Dan Quinn said.
3. Series history. This will be the 12th regular-season meeting. The Falcons lead the series 6-5. The Jets won the last meeting 30-28 as Geno Smith tossed three touchdown passes on Oct. 7, 2013 at the Georgia Dome.
4. Jets' Skrine ruled out. Jets cornerback Buster Skrine (concussion) and right tackle Brandon Shell (neck) will not play. Skrine, who played at Etowah High and Tenessee-Chattanooga, suffered a concussion last week against Miami.
5. Where to watch, listen. Here's the broadcast information for Sunday's game which is being televised by FOX with Sam Rosen handling the play-by-play, Ronde Barber the color commentary and Kristina Pink as the sideline reporter.
