Here are five things to know about the Falcons on Tuesday:

1. Team discusses race, societal issues. The Falcons, along with owner Arthur Blank, met with Andre Mac Intosh to discuss the current state of racial and social concerns in the country on Monday.

2. California bound. Falcons center Alex Mack is heading home to California during the bye week.

3. 10 men on field. The Falcons apparently were trying to hit a quick slant to Justin Hardy on the fourth-and-1 play, but he wasn't open. Then Ryan had to try to find Taylor Gabriel out to the right. The Bills only had 10 players on the field.

4. Bye week timing. Falcons coach Dan Quinn believes the bye comes at a good time and is hopeful that he'll have wide receiver Julio Jones, defensive end Vic Beasley and wide receiver Mohamed Sanu for the game against Miami on Oct. 15.

5. Defensive line help. The Falcons were working out defensive linemen on Monday. They are in the market for some defensive tackle help with the bicep injury to Jack Crawford and ankle injury to Courtney Upshaw.
