Possibly bracing to play without Devonta Freeman, the Falcons signed running back Terrence Magee off the Browns’ practice squad Wednesday.

Freeman is in the NFL concussion protocol after suffering his second concussion this season Sunday and his third since November 2015.

Magee, 24, played collegiately at LSU. He’s 5-foot-8 and 214 pounds. After he wasn’t drafted, Magee started his career with the Ravens. He also spent time with the Rams and Seahawks before joining the Browns.

The Falcons lost rookie Brian Hill when the running back was signed off the practice squad by the Bengals on Tuesday. Hill was drafted in the fifth round out of Wyoming.

With Freeman injured early in the win over the Cowboys, Tevin Coleman and Terron Ward carried the load for the Falcons the rest of the game. They figure to do so against the Seahawks on Monday night should Freeman be ruled out.

The Falcons released linebacker Jermaine Grace on Tuesday and had an opening on the 53-man roster.
