The Atlanta Falcons’ parent company has hired a key NASCAR executive to lead its communications efforts.

AMB Group, parent of the Falcons and Arthur Blank’s other businesses, Monday named Brett Jewkes senior vice president and chief communications officer.

He has held the same titles at NASCAR since 2011.

In his new job, Jewkes will be responsible for internal and external communications strategies across the Blank businesses, including the Falcons, the Atlanta United soccer team, Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company (developer and operator of Mercedes-Benz Stadium), PGA Tour Superstore and Mountain Sky Guest Ranch in Montana, as well as the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.

Jewkes will join the organization Nov. 25.

He will assume the communications responsibilities previously held by AMB Group executive vice president and chief administrative officer Kim Shreckengost, who earlier announced plans to leave the organization at the end of the year.

Before joining NASCAR, Jewkes was a managing partner at New York-based marketing communications agency Taylor Global.
