The Falcons officially waived wide receiver Devin Fuller on Friday, according to the NFL’s transaction data.

Fuller never played a down for the team after he was selected in the seventh round (238th overall) of the 2016 draft. The Falcons hoped the speedy receiver could turn into a dangerous returner.

Fuller had five catches for 66 yards and a touchdown in his three exhibition appearances in 2016.

Fuller, who played at UCLA, spent his rookie season on injured reserve after he hurt his shoulder during an exhibition game.

Last season, Fuller tore his ACL on July 28 and was placed on injured reserve for the second year in a row.

The Falcon long ago removed Fuller from the roster.

Teams have until 4 p.m. Monday to claim Fuller off waivers.
