Falcons right tackle Kaleb McGary, who suffered a left knee injury against the Eagles and didn’t practice on Wednesday is set to return to practice on Thursday, according to coach Dan Quinn.
“He’ll do some work today for sure,” Quinn said before practice. “(Matt) Gono (back) is doing better. Kaleb is doing work. Some of the guys who were out yesterday are back taking at least half of their reps. They’ll get a test to see where they are at. They are making great progress.”
Quinn is please with McGary’s conditioning and is ready to end the rotation with Ty Sambrailo at right tackle.
“We had to go through that process to see where he’s at, but after being in and working on the conditioning part, I feel good with that,” Quinn said. “As long as we can continue onto this path, that would be the way to go.”
Punter Matt Bosher (groin) will not practice.
“Health-wise the only player that will be out today is Bosher,” Quinn said. “He’s working hard to get there. We’ll have a better sense tomorrow or at the latest Saturday. When he can kick and see where he’s at.”
Returner Kenjon Barner (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.
Safety Keanu Neal (groin), tight end Luke Stocker (foot) and offensive tackle Matt Gono (back) were limited on Wednesday.
McGary left the Falcons’ game Sunday night against the Eagles with an apparent left knee injury, but returned. He ended up playing 37 of 66 offensive snaps (56%).
(Check back later today for the team’s official injury report)
