Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who’s coming off of a sprained right ankle that snapped his 163-game playing streak, was declared “ready” to face the Saints by coach Dan Quinn on Friday.

The Falcons (1-7) face the Saints (7-1) at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Superdome.

Cornerback Desmond Trufant (turf toe) will be a game-time decision, while running back Ito Smith (neck), reserve guard/center Wes Schweitzer (concussion) and defensive end John Cominsky (ankle) were declared out.

Schweitzer has been a valuable backup this season because of injuries to Chris Lindstrom, Jamon Brown and James Carpenter. Schweitzer has played in all eight games and has made two starts this season.

Ty Sambrailo will serve as the interior line backup against the Saints.
