Falcons wide receiver Harry Douglas (foot) did not practice and was declared out of the Sunday’s game by head coach Mike Smith on Friday.
Douglas suffered a foot injury against Tampa Bay and apparently has a setback along the recovery. This will be the third game that he’s missed.
Over the first three games, he caught 12 passes for 121 yards and one touchdown.
Wide receiver/kick returner Devin Hester (hamstring) and left tackle Justin Blalock (back) were listed as questionable. Smith has said he fully expects Hester to play and is set to take over Douglas’ snaps as the third receiver.
In the two full games that he played, Douglas played 76 percent and 92 percent of the snaps against Cincinnati and New Orleans.
The Falcons like to use their three-wide receiver formation and plan to increase Hester’s playing time from 60 percent against New York and 57 percent against Minnesota to more in-line with the amount of time that Douglas was playing.
Blalock suffered a back injury against Minnesota and did not play last week against the Giants. He’s been limited in practice all week.
