Falcons coach Dan Quinn and defensive line coach Bryan Cox are getting the defensive linemen ready for Aaron Rodgers’ hard snap counts.

He’ll fake the snap count with a hard signal and attempt to draw the defense offside. Then the Packers will snap the ball and take a free shot down the field for a long pass.

“He’s fantastic at it,” Quinn said. “You’ve seen so many times that they have a very good coordinated effort of when a defensive lineman or a blitzer jumps of converting that route into the down-the-field throws.”

Also, the defense can commit a second foul on those scramble plays.

“You’d be surprised, there are also some (pass interferences) that happen on that when they are just taking their shots all the way down the field,” Quinn said. “We’ve got to be really disciplined.”

Also, Rodgers is dangerous when he escapes the pocket and is on the move.

“More than likely, he’s going to get outside the pocket like mobile quarterbacks can do,” Quinn said. “That’s when you better be at your best. We call the term ‘plaster’ where (on) down the field throws you better make sure that your coverage is on point.”
