Running back Devonta Freeman scored his fourth rushing touchdown of the season off a turnover in the Texans first possession of the game Sunday.
Quarterback Ryan Mallett’s pass was tipped by DeAndre Hopkins into the hands of defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux on the Falcons’ 47-yard line.
Under Dan Quinn in four games, the Falcons have scored 28 points off of five turnovers.
The Falcons converted a fourth down with a one-yard run by Freeman after the interception.
Ryan threw a 24-yard pass to Freeman on the next third down to move the team into the red zone for the first time against the Texans (1-2).
In his first professional start last week against the Cowboys, Freeman had 30 carries for 141 yards and three rushing touchdowns.
