The Falcons, who have committed the second most penalties in the NFL through three games with 37, had a full crew of officials on hand for Wednesday’s practice.

“Technique has to be improved across the board,” Falcons linebackers coach Jeff Ulbrich said. “Linebackers, (defensive backs) and everyone in coverage. It just has to be something we emphasis. Continue to emphasize and eliminate it. The NFL is hard enough. The opponent is enough of a challenge for us to be beating ourselves at times had to go away.”

The Falcons defense has committed 16 of the penalties that have led to 13 first downs.

Falcons coach Dan Quinn said that he’s added some “in house discipline, so to speak.”
