On locker room clean-out day, Falcons middle linebacker Deion Jones discussed his season, which included missing 10 games with a broken foot, on Monday (This interview was done before the team fired three coordinators.):
On how the defense finished: "I thought we finished strong. That's what we preach. I felt like we finished real strong. That's what we preach and I appreciate all the guys who (were) out there and fought and anybody that had to do with the preparation. That was dope and I appreciate it."
On how he will view the season: "It's not how you start. It's how you finish. I really appreciate that we all brought in and did what we had to do to get three wins."
On the turnovers ticking up after his return: "We always stress about the ball. I'm one of the guys that always like to go for the ball. I feel like I always have to give it back to the offense. That became infectious and the ball started coming alive. It was dope."
On how tough the season was for him: "Obstacles happen. Ups and down. It's how you come back from them."
