Falcons coach Dan Quinn wore a gray T-shirt with the word “Locked” across the front for the second day of minicamp Wednesday.

“What we had this for is it was about staying that way for the entire time,” Quinn said. “Meeting wise, walk-through and practice. Every time we go, we try to use the lessons for two-minute (drills) or for this is the moment that you get one, two or three chances at it. You just get one (chance) to go for it. We’ve kind of adopted that as a mindset for practice.”

Did it work?

“Yeah, we were locked,” Quinn said.

Five players were singled out for good play in practice.

(Cornerback Jayson) Stanley jumped out,” Quinn said. “(Rashard) Causey on the (cornerback) side, those two jumped out to me. Offensively, I thought offensive line, a number of guys looked good in that space. (Kaleb) McGary was one. I thought Matt Gono had a day that was good. Ito Smith I would say from the running-back side certainly looked sharp.”
