Here’s the QB corner with Matt Ryan and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s D. Orlando Ledbetter:

Q: How big was it to have a season-low 30 yards in penalties against the Bucs?

A: We have always been a low penalized team, and that gives you a chance. Smart football gives you a chance.

Q: How much more dangerous is Carolina coming off a big loss to Philadelphia on “Monday Night Football”?

A: Obviously, they are going to want to come out and play better. …We're both going to be fired up. Once you get through that initial stage of the game, it comes down to making plays. I'm sure they'll be ready and prepared. Anytime you play in the division, you know it's going to be a tough 60-minute game.

Q: What’s wrong with their defense?

A: I still think it's a really talented defense. I think there is some differences in personnel. Obviously, they have two new safeties in Roman Harper and Thomas DeCoud. They've got some different personnel in the front four and two of the better linebackers in the (NFL).

Q: How much are they missing defensive end Greg Hardy?

A: He's a very good player. It's tough to replace that production with one single guy. But I still think that they do a good job with the guys that they have. Charles Johnson is still an elite pass rusher. They do a great job in their pressure packages of rushing the passer.
