FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann was fined $8,681 by the NFL on Friday for grabbing the facemask of New Orleans running back Khiry Robinson in the 31-21 loss to the Saints on Oct. 15.

Biermann was fined $15,000 for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Charlie Whitehurst on Dec. 24, 2010, when Whitehurst was with Seattle.

Whitehurst, of Chattahoochee High and Clemson, now plays for Tennessee and could be active for Sunday’s game.
