The Atlanta Falcons head to halftime up 24-0 over Green Bay and fans at a Dunwoody pub are feeling confident this team has what it takes to hold off Aaron Rogers and the Packers.
Just before the half, the Falcons scored again to take a 24-0 and Dan Kish said he’s ready to predict the Falcons are headed to the Super Bowl.
“I am extremely confident. The Falcons are going to the Super Bowl,” Kish said.
Earlier in the second quarter, with the Falcons up by 17, there were still familiar screams of angst about the strength of Atlanta’s lead and let downs in the past.
The Falcons are no strangers to having a 17-point lead in an NFC Championship game. Unfortunately, they led by 17-0 before losing against the San Francisco 49ers a few years ago at home.
But that angst soon faded when Matt Ryan found an open man in the corner of the end zone to take a 24-point lead seconds before the half.
But Al Tiede, a Falcons fan from Dunwoody, said he is more confident in this Falcons team.
“With the depth of the Falcons this year, it’s a totally different deal,” Tiede said. “They know how to finish.”
