Atlanta Falcons fans in Dunwoody roared with approval when the Falcons scored on their opening possession in the NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers.

Mohamed Sanu caught a two-yard pass from Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan in the first quarter to stake Atlanta to an early 7-0 lead.

The Falcons are trying to make their second ever Super Bowl appearance, but they’ll have to beat the Packers to do it.

“Awesome,” Dunwoody resident Dan Kish said. “I like our chances.”

Moments later, the crowd at Dunwoody Tavern exploded in cheers as the Packers missed a field goal in the first quarter.
