Foltynewicz pitches well, Duvall hits 29th homer for Gwinnett

July 24, 2019Mike Foltynewicz allowed one run and three hits in seven innings as the Gwinnett Stripers beat the host Louisville Bats 6-1 in Triple-A play Wednesday afternoon.
Foltynewicz (5-1) walked one and struck out four. He also stroked a double as a hitter. Foltynewicz is 4-0 with a 2.93 ERA in his last five starts with the Stripers.
Adam Duvall set a Gwinnett single-season record with his 29th home run of the season. The surpassed Ernesto Mejia’s 28-homer total in 2013. Duvall leads the International League.
Kyle Wright (7-4, 4.86 ERA) pitches for the Stripers against Louisville Thursday.
