Emory won its sixth national championship in women’s swimming and diving on Saturday in Shenandoah, Texas, in thrilling fashion.

The Eagles secured their fourth consecutive Division III title by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay, the meet’s last event in record time (3:21.28). The team consisted of Renee Rosenkranz, Nancy Larson, Ann Wolber and Anna Dobben. The quartet also won the 200-yard freestyle relay Thursday. The 400-yard relay win was the 13th relay championship in the history of Emory’s women’s program and the fourth consecutive year that the Eagles won that event.

Emory finished with 619 points. Kenyon College was second with 483 points, followed by Denison (363).

In addition to the two national titles, Emory finished with 26 All-America certificates, five relay All-America performances and 15 individual honorable mention finishes.

Emory’s men’s team finished fifth, but Miller Douglas won a national title in the 200-yard butterfly. Eight more swimmers earned individual All-America honors, along with seven honorable mentions, four All-America relays and one honorable mention relay.
