Dwight Freeney to retire as a Colt

Defensive end Dwight Freeney will retire as an Indianapolis Colt on Monday, the team announced Thursday.
Freeney, who played with the Atlanta Falcons during the 2016 season, was drafted by the Colts in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft and finished his time in Indianapolis second in team history with 107.5 sacks.
In his one season with the Falcons, Freeney recorded three sacks, seven tackles and an immeasurable veteran leadership.
In 16 seasons, Freeney racked up 125.5 sacks— tied for 17th most in League history.
