Angel McCoughtry, in a reserve role, scored 27 points, including a game-winning 3-pointer from the top of the key with 8.8 seconds remaining, and Sancho Lyttle gathered a career-high 21 rebounds as the Dream (2-0) won its first road game of the season in double overtime at Indianapolis.

Notable

The last time the Fever (0-2) played in a double overtime game was June 6, 2009, at Atlanta in the season opener which Atlanta won 87-86. … The Fever played without All-Star forward Tamika Catchings (back). … There were 15 lead changes and 11 ties. Indiana’s largest lead was 10 in the first half.

About the Dream

Rookie Shoni Schimmel came off the bench to collect nine assists, seven of them in the first half. She had an 11-assist performance in Friday’s season opener against San Antonio. She was one assist shy from a double-double, finishing with 17 points.
