Utah Jazz Donovan Mitchell trolled Ben Simmons with a ‘rookie’ Adidas sweatshirt before a game Tuesday.
Mitchell’s sweatshirt reads, “An athlete, playing his or her first season, as a member of a professional sports team.”
Simmons missed the entire 2016 season with a foot injury, making him eligible for this year’s Rookie of the Year.
Mitchell’s sweatshirt dig at Simmons comes after Simmons, a front runner for NBA Rookie of the Year, told ESPN that no other rookie has impressed him this season.
Mitchell discussed the sweatshirt after the game.
