Michael Conway, 22 of West Hartford, Conn., and Anne Kelly, 20, of Alpharetta, won the men’s and women’s Atlanta Half Marathon on Thursday morning. Conway finished in 1:08:00 and Kelly crossed at 1:25:40 to lead 11,000 runners in the annual event.
Nicholas Schuetze, 32, of Rome, ran the 5K in 15:57 to win the men’s race. Francine Nzilampa, 31, of Baton Rouge, La., won the women’s 5K also in 18:08.
“The Atlanta Half Marathon events are a Thanksgiving Day tradition for many Atlanta area families,” said Rich Kenah, Atlanta Track Club’s executive director. “Thousands of runners and walkers earned their turkey out there on the roads today and Atlanta Track Club is thankful to the many hundreds of volunteers who helped us deliver a memorable day for all participants.”
