Combine Highlight: Player gets hit in head while running drill

Sometimes drills just don’t go the way you want them to. Needless to say, when former Weber State defensive back Taron Johnson was running through his gantlet test at the NFL scouting combine, he probably didn’t expect to get hit in the face with a football.

The gantlet drill is designed so the player participating looks in opposite directions to catch footballs while running down a yard line.

Unfortunately for Johnson, he turned the wrong way on his first catch attempt and when we tried to correct himself, it was too late and he got clocked in the forehead with a pass. Johnson did well to recover though after taking a small stumble. He caught the other four passes thrown his way with ease.
