With 10 days to kickoff, Tech has solid practice

Georgia Tech practiced for the 22nd time this preseason Wednesday afternoon, going in full pads as preparation continues for the season opener against Wofford Aug. 30 at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Coach Paul Johnson said that the practice “went well.” The team will go lighter on Thursday and then have a scrimmage against the scout team on Friday. Johnson will use the scrimmage to address specific game situations. … The athletic department introduced on Wednesday a new smartphone app that will include free live game audio, a game-day guide with parking and event information and play-by-play information. It is called the Georgia Tech Gameday app.
