Here are biographies on all of Georgia State’s high school signees. The information comes directly from the athletic department’s website.
Peyton Moore, LB,6-2, 225, Mill Creek
All-Gwinnett County by the Gwinnett Daily Post (third team) and Touchdown Club of Gwinnett (honorable mention) … Tallied 57 tackles (seven for losses), nine sacks and a team-best 11 quarterback hurries for Mill Creek High School, which reached the semifinals in Class AAAAAA, Georgia’s largest classification …Chosen to play in Rivalries of Gwinnett all-star game in December … Played tight end as a junior before moving to defense.

Terry Thomas, DL, 6-3, 245, Luella

Defensive lineman from Luella High School … All-Metro (Southside) by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution …One of two signees from Luella, along with running back Darius Stubbs.

Kendrec Grady, S, 6-2, 209, Norcross

All-county selection (honorable mention) by the Touchdown Club of Gwinnett … Talented safety from had 44 tackles and one interception as a senior at Norcross High School.

Two-way standout at Morgan County High School…Projects as a cornerback…Chosen for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Area All-Star Game, in which he scored a touchdown.

Darius Stubbs, RB, 5-10, 188 Luella

Versatile running back from Luella High School … Named to the Henry County Super 7 … Rushed for 681 yards and six touchdowns on just 90 carries while catching six passes for 118 yards as a junior.

Safety who was named All-Area by the Gainesville Times … First-team All-Region 7-AAA … Collected 55 tackles, three interceptions, two tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one defensive touchdown as a senior at West Hall High School … Versatile, two-way athlete who had a 54-yard touchdown run and a fumble recovery in West Hall’s playoff-clinching victory, then threw a 39-yard TD pass in first-round playoff game.

Outstanding athlete who was a dual-threat quarterback at Campbell High School but projects as a wide receiver …All-county (honorable mention) by the Marietta Daily Journal…Cobb County champion in the 100 meters (10.79) and 200 meters (21.79) as a junior.

Massive defensive lineman for Archer High School in football hotbed Gwinnett County … Honorable mention all-county by the Touchdown Club of Gwinnett … Helped Archer reach the state playoffs in Class AAAAAA, Georgia largest classification…Played in the Rivalries of Gwinnett all-star game in December…One of two 300-pounders in this year’s class.

Explosive athlete who earned honorable mention all-state honors as a running back …Led Male High School to a 14-0 record and the Class 6-A Kentucky state title…Rushed for over 1,000 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior…Also a track standout, as a sophomore he was Class 3-A state runner up in 100-meter dash and long jump. As a junior he finished among the top 12 in four events — triple jump (fourth), 100 (fifth), long jump (ninth) and 200 (12th).

Tall, rangy offensive line prospect who should grow into a prototype offensive tackle … Helped Jackson (Ala.) High School reach the state playoffs.

Bryson Duckworth, WR, 6-4, 212, Drew

Tall receiver who was a first-team all-region selection in 4-AAAAA … Played in the Florida vs. Georgia Rivalry Game in Boynton Beach, Fla. … Also played in the Clayton County Senior Bowl … Caught six touchdown passes as a senior at Drew High School, which reached the state quarterfinals in Class AAAAA … Also a basketball standout.

Matlin Marshall, WR, 5-9, 188, Evans

AT GEORGIA STATE: Versatile athlete who enrolled in January 2016 after originally signing with the Panthers in 2015 … Former high school quarterback who will work at receiver.
HIGH SCHOOL: All-region and all-county selection at Evans High School … Member of Augusta Chronicle “Dream 16” team … Played quarterback as a senior, passing for 1,539 yards and 14 touchdowns while rushing for 358 yards and six scores … Also played defensive back and grabbed one interception … Coached by Marty Jackson.
PERSONAL: Full name is Matlin Ali Marshall … Son of Marvin and LaScotia Marshall … Born Sept. 12, 1996 … Father is a member of the Hall of Fame at South Carolina State and went on to play in the NFL for three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He later coached in the NFL and is now a high school coach.
