Three-star defensive end Cortez Alston committed to Georgia Tech on Wednesday, bring Tech’s 2017 signing class to 14 members.
Alston, a 6-foot-3, 250 pound senior at the Westminster School announced his commitment on Twitter writing in part, "I've decided to continue my football and academic career at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Thanks for all the love and support."
Alston committed to Tech just under two weeks after his official visit on Dec. 9, according to 247 Sports.
The Atlanta, Ga. defensive end is the second defensive lineman to commit to Tech’s 2017 signing class in addition to lineman Connor Hansen. Alston is also one of seven defensive players in the Yellow Jackets’ newest signing class.
