Just a few days before the start of college football season, Mountaineers quarterback Clint Trickett made a confession.
He knows Saban real well.
Trickett's dad, Rick, coached with Nick Saban at LSU and Alabama.
But that's not the Saban the senior quarterback was referring to. He was talking about Nick Saban's daughter, Kristen.
When asked by a reporter how well he knew Nick Saban ahead of Saturday's season opener against the Crimson Tide, Trickett slipped.
He admitted his first kiss was with Saban's daughter, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.
"… I don't know if I should have said that," he quickly interjected, and before the next question was lobbed he followed through with "we were like 6 years old."
"Just so everyone knows that."
Yeah, everyone knows. Nick Saban now knows.
