The Georgia Bulldogs are 24 1/2-point road favorites over Vanderbilt in the 2019 season opener, according to BetOnline.ag.

The Bulldogs routed the Commodores last season 41-13 at Sanford Stadium in Athens.

Georgia is universally projected as a top five team this season, while Vanderbilt is in a bit of a rebuilding mode.

The Commodores lost accomplished quarterback Kyle Shurmur off last season’s roster, along with four of the top five tacklers off the defense.

Vanderbilt has played Georgia as tough as anyone else in the SEC East Division of late, pulling off a 17-16 upset in Athens in 2016, and winning 31-27 in Nashville in 2013.
