Georgia State is loading up on big men, receiving commitments from Loganville’s Davis Moore, South Gwinnett's Daniel Zeigler and Calhoun's Sebastian Willer on Sunday. They also added Northside wide receiver Robert Davis.
Former Sandy Creek standout cornerback Bruce Dukes also announced that he hopes to transfer to Georgia State after spending two years at Central Florida. He will have to sit out a year and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
However, the Panthers lost Deonte Davis, who is now committed to Wake Forest. Davis, a 5-11, 180-pound cornerback, was teammates with Zeigler at South Gwinnett.
Moore is a 6-5, 290-pound offensive tackle. He is No. 65 in this video.
Willer is a 6-6, 265-pound tight end whose family used to live in Germany.
Zeigler is a 6-5, 255-pound tackle. He will be the fourth offensive lineman (not counting tight ends) committed to Georgia State. He had offers from Valdosta State, Wingate, Mercer and LaGrange. He said that he really liked Georgia State's coaching staff, the direction of the program and the quality of the education. He hopes to play left tackle and expects that he will receive a redshirt in 2013.
Davis is a 6-4, 185-pound target who played in an spread offense at Northside-Warner Robins. He caught seven passes for 119 yards and a touchdown last year. He said he selected Georgia State "because of the great student life and the coaches' desire to make not just better players but also better men."
