Georgia Tech has scheduled a home-and-home series with South Florida for 2021 and 2022. The athletic department has been in the process of filling in several non-conference slots over the next several years.
Barring a matchup in a bowl game before then, the games will be the first football meetings between the schools. USF is located in Tampa, Fla., and is a member of the American Athletic Conference, formerly the Big East. The Bulls are coached by Willie Taggart. The 2021 game will be played at Bobby Dodd Stadium with the return game in Tampa the next year.
The 2021 non-conference schedule is now complete, with Tech playing Kennesaw State, South Florida, at Notre Dame and Georgia. The 2022 schedule has three non-conference slots filled – Ole Miss, at South Florida and Georgia. The remaining spot will likely go to an FCS opponent.
